A CARB test is the Clean Truck Check emissions inspection at a CARB-credentialed facility. The tester submits a passing result in CTC-VIS. That is not a factory “CARB certified” engine label, not a passenger-car smog check, and not the official compliance certificate. The certificate is downloaded later from CTC-VIS after reporting, the annual fee, and a passing test.
